To All,
I recently had a situation arise where nodes were showing as UP in Orion NPM 12.4, but the nodes were actually DOWN. After searching THWACK I could not find a solution to the problem. I had stopped the JobEngine v2 service and deleted the cached ShadowCopy files in c:\windows\temp\solarwinds\Jobengine.v2 folder and restarted the JobEngine service. This did not resolve the issue. I had contacted support and was informed, after several different things attempted it was found that the following resolved the issue:
Stop All Orion services with the Orion Service Manager
Uninstall the JobEngine v2 application
Reinstall
Uninstall the Collector application
Reinstall
Delete Windows Temp files and the JobEngine cache
Restart all Orion services with the Orion Service Manager
This cleared up the issue for me and the nodes were then showing as correctly DOWN.
Just thought I would share the solution that worked for me, as I could not find one here, as I mentioned.
