Hello,
We recently had an issue where a SNMP agent on a host machine froze. The Server was up and operated fine, however the space on the
drive was filling up. While dialled in we noticed the space was down to 800MB - however the Orion Web Page showed 10GB free. When we went into the details of Drive
we saw that there were no stats for the pst 9 days.
The SNMP agent had frozen on the host server - we re-started this and it worked just fine. However we almost completely missed that this server was running out of space. Obviously we lost all other stats during these 9 days as well - all bar the ping times.
I am wondering if anyone has been bale to set-up an alert that would tell us when a SNMP agent freezes or returns no data. By default Orion simply presents the last queried result, even though this may be 9 days old.
This is concerning me as we may have other servers that we are not collecting statistics from even thoguh Orion is presenting a value that looks to be relevant.
Has anyone seen this before and know how to work around this issue?
We are running Orion Network Performance Monitor SL250 verison 8.5.1 SP2
