What is the most common setups for the Summary Page? I'm looking for best practice ideas. Besides out of the box setup, what changes have people made? Pictures would be nice if possible.
Anyone?
kange0010,
Dashboards are one of those things that it really depends on the audience. I usually interview the various people or teams that will be using the web console. you should focus on presenting the data that makes sense for that particular audience. Some folks are very visual and like maps and charts, while other want only issues raised.

derik,
As a Solarwinds technician, what would you put on your dashboard?
I typically want to see issue first, then my Top 10 items, which could be the next issue. I use a Node Trees, Maps, Custom Resources, Graphs, Tables to display this information on my main dashboard. However, I have different dashboards as well, with some being Application or Site specific as needed.
As a former Network Engineer and Monitor Support Engineer, I have two things I like to look for in my dashboards. I like to have a quick glance dashboard, whether it is maps or tree structure to give me that Up/Down info. From there I like to have one on my Critical Systems or areas that could cause the largest impact to the environment. Going from there it what could be the next outage or service impact to my Users. I like performance Data, so pulling together information from various products within Orion is very useful. I hope this helps you out.
