OS Not Recognized

I just installed this solution last week, but for some reason using SNMP the OS itself is not recognized. Also the machine type is either unknown or net-snmp for all systems...

Please see an example node details below.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

For OS we respond with what we get from SNMP, so see what net-snmp is responding with.

On the machine type, the SysObjectID is responding with Net-SNMP. Not sure if you can change that to point to the relevant SysObjectID or not.

Do you know how to check what SNMP is returning? What I see is

[root@<hostname removed> snmp]# snmpwalk -v 1 -c public localhost IP-MIB::ipAdEntIfIndex

IP-MIB::ipAdEntIfIndex.<ip removed> = INTEGER: 2

IP-MIB::ipAdEntIfIndex.127.0.0.1 = INTEGER: 1

You may try this walk.

snmpwalk -v 1 -c <communitystring> <IPaddress> <Sysobjectid>

community string -->public or private

IPaddress-->ipaddress of the destination server or a node for which you want the snmp results

Sysobjectid-->Log into the database,open up the Nodes table.There is a field named sysobjectid.Here is a simple sql query,

select sysobjectid,* from nodes
