Slowness of searching from NPM Summary page?

The search in the NPM Summary page can take 10-15 seconds.

When I run the same search (sans the wildcard character) in the Manage Nodes it takes 1-2 seconds.

NPM 12.1 (soon to be 12.2) on Windows 2016 with a MS SQL 2012 database. Plenty of memory and CPU.

Personally i would not consider one second slow really but you have not specified if your using the new or old manage nodes. There is a bug in swiss in your version, a memory leak so i would see what happens in 12.2 where the issue has been fixed.

Sorry, I meant to state that the NSM Summary page search can take 10-15 seconds.

Ah, reindex your database. Stop all services and delete solarwinds from c:\windows\temp. Upgrade to npm 12.2 asap.

Hello Joe,

it could be a chart on the view, i know i had an issues with some charts loading such as errors and discards struggling to produce and causing the page to be slow or stop loading.

You can use the F12 option on google chrome or Shift + Ctrl + i and check with the network tools what charts is slow to load on your page, when you find it you can either delete it or change it.

And you should do what James said too.
