Custom Resource/Interface Polling by Device

     Hello,

I need to poll only specific interfaces/resources on a node once it is discovered instead of all by default. I am going to auto-discover hundreds of devices soon and manually deselecting interfaces/resources per device is not feasible. Does anyone know of a solution? Saw a couple of older threads out there that recommend SQL statements to possibly scale with a script. Any GUI options that automate that process would be great.

kbig​​ While you can certainly go about this via the "Manage Nodes/Interfaces" page, the Orion SDK/API is probably going to be the best way to go about this.

Here is an example using the Orion SDK/API with PowerShell to remove/delete interfaces which are no longer up. You should be able to start with this example, change a few things in the SWQL query (the WHERE part), and remove the interfaces you need to remove.

Also, during the discovery, you should be able to exclude/include interfaces based on various criteria.
