A long time ago...in the distant past of v10.3.. Wireless Client Name/DNS value

A long time ago...in the distant past of v10.3.. in the Wireless tab, when you viewed Clients under APs etc the 'Client Name' field used to be the DNS name of that IP address if known.. or something very similar. Now all it shows is the Ip Address, which is already in the IP Address column for the client.

Has anyone else noticed this change? Or has the polling of the WLC changed? It was nice to be able to search for PC Name in the client.. as are support calls are all based on this ID.

Edit \SolarWinds\Orion\Wireless\SolarWinds.Wireless.Collector.dll.config

change the value for "RDNSTimeout" (30 should be enough)

sorry to be a pain, however this has fixed the issue partially, I have an entire controller that no clients seem t resolve, and still numerous other that also hit and miss resolve - is this another issue? can i force a manual resolve somehow to see if it works?

You can try to change the value for RDNSTimeout, seems like 30 is not enough for some clients.
