W2K3 - Node Add Issue with Interface MIB

Guys,

I haven't run into this before with a few thousand servers in Orion 7.x and 8.x and haven't been able to find a resolution online or thru some troubleshooting and was hoping someone else may have run into it.

Scenario:

-W2K3 R2 x86 server SP1

-SNMP installed with HP smart start cd

-Added the device to Orion and receive the error message listed below:

-- NetPerform: %hostname% does not support the interfaces MIB.

Steps taken to attempt resolution:

- Uninstall snmp and reboot.

- Instal snmp from source files on cd, failed again.

- Uinstall snmp and reboot and install from source files on network used for all snmp installs, failed again.

- Checked file versions, size and date of snmp related files for OS and all verified as correct.

Any ideas? Orion Version 8.1.0 - June 2007

Cleared all snmp registry entries after uninstall, rebooted and installed again to resolve the issue.

I'm new at Orion and I'm having the same problem when I wanna add an AIX Server, and have the same error.

I don't understand, when you said:

You're talking about the SolardWind Application? or the node you wanna add?
