I need GREEN when interface is down
dajomas
I use ISDN as a backup for my main lines. When I add the interfaces to Orion, they are down which is good but they show RED and are thus seen as a problem.
I would like to see those lines GREEN when they are down and RED when they are up because that means something is wrong. An additional problem is that these ISDN lines can be used for user dial-in as well. So when a user connects (using a different dialer interface than the ISDN backup) I don't want to set off an alarm.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Or does anyone know how to set this up in Orion?
Thanx
Johan.

Do a search in this forum for ISDN.
There are users which have posted about this issue as well.

Hmmm... another dead link.

Hey Brian,
You can use the search link at the top right of this page instead of the broken link...
Just remove the dash between Solarwinds & Forum in any broken link on this Forum & it should work again.

We had (kind of) a similar request. Instead of a node turning yellow, we wanted ours to turn red. We found the icons we wanted and simply renamed them to change the color of the icons when things went up and down.
I believe we changed them on the Solarwinds server at C:\program files\SolarWinds\Network Performance Monitor V7\Maps\NetObjects\Icons
