International date/time format in Orion web console

Does Orion 8.5 support international date & time formats in the web console?

I am experiencing different behavour between versions 8.1 and 8.5 comparing to older 7.8.

In version 7.8 the displayed date & time format matched to the regional settings of the Orion server and the web client machine. In versions 8.1 and 8.5 I always see the dates & times in US format (MM/DD/YYYY and 12 hour time format). This is not the case with the Orion System Manager, running on the NPM server. It displays date and time in format that corresponds to the regional settings of the server (DD.MM.YYYY and 24 hour time format).

Could you give us some screenshots of exactly where you are seeing changes in the web console?

As far as I can see. the changes are everywhere in the web console (events list, syslog messages, custom charts ...). I will be able to provide screenshots tomorrow.

I have opened support ticket back for version 8.1 (#11557). Support team responded that the issue would be fixed in version 8.5, but unfortunately that was not the case. Perhaps there is some incompatibility with my regional settings (Slovenian), beacuse I cannot believe that every single international user sees date and time in US format.

I'll look into it, but I don't think there's been a change between 7.8 and 8.x on this feature.

Hello,

perhaps I should try to illustrate the situation from another perspective, which could probalby point out a kind of inconsistency in Orion's behaviour.

Please see four pictures showing excatly the same events and syslog messages, once as displayed locally on the Orion NPM server and once as displayed in Orion Web console.

1.1. Events on the Orion NPM server have correct date/time format.

1.2. The date/time format of the same events, displayed on the Orion Web Console, doesn't match regional settings.

2.1. Syslog messages, displayed on Orion NPM server, have correct date/time format.

2.2. Again the same syslog messages through the web console have different date/time format. Custom period was curiously changed when refresh was clicked.

The story is pretty much the same with custom charts.

Both boxes (web console and Orion NPM server) have the same regional settings. I only wish that the date/time format displayed in the web console would be the same as displayed on the server locally. ;-)
