Connect Now Problem

Hello There,

 

i hope that im right here with my Problem with the ConnectNow Function within the NPM 10.1.3 Network Atlas.

I have about 50 Switches (Dell & HP) where i only monitor the uplink ports (no vlans) icmp and snmp are fully enabled.

So if i do a Network Sonar Discovery with that nodes and put them in a map.. no problem here.

Then i select all discovered nodes and use the ConnectNow Button... my problem starts...

80% of my switches are correctly connected, BUT: 10% are not at all connected and the other 10% wrong connected :-(

i´ve checked with cdp / lldp on the wrong or not connected switches and the switch knows his correct neighbor... where is the problem???

 

it would be very nice if someone could help.

We don't use CDP/LLDP, check out this article and see it it helps out any.  Also if you are a customer, see here, we are in beta on vNext and enhancing our topology data.
