Time on an alert on a single node

Hi all.

I would like to know if its possible to set a time on a alert, before its do the action selected.

My problem is that I have a basic alert where i am looking over all of my nodes, when they go down and when they come up again. When this happens I get an email. So far so god

But my real problem is that 2-4 of the nodes goes up and down due to bad power and poor ilne (its in Nigeria), and its spam my inbox with allerts. So the question is:

How do I set the alert only to activate once 1 hour, on this specifik Node?

Hi Michael,

Basic Alerts does not have any features to stop false alerts.

I would recommend that you try out Advanced Alerts.

The following video tutorial should help kick-start the use of Advanced Alerts: www.solarwinds.com/.../OrionAdvancedAlerts.html

On using Advanced Alerts, under the "Trigger Condition" tab, you can dictate the amount of time that the nodes went down (to ensure that the node is truly down, and not flapping).

It will be the "Do not trigger this action until condition exists for more than x [Seconds | Minutes | Hours]

Have you consider grouping the nodes using custom property and set a condition

"do not trigger this actions until condition exist for like 20 mins?
