Filter Nodes by Map

Hello,

I'm looking for an easy way to filter a list of nodes by maps the nodes are shown. I had a look at OrionCustomReportNodeXrefMaps already, but we use a SQL2005 Server.

Adding a Custom Property would be possible, but a lot of work. Is there any other way to Filter them or modify the "List of Objects on Network" Webpart?
