I have Orion NPM. I need some information about the Link bnadwidth calculation. my Wan link is of 10MB full duplex so while calulating monthly utilization will orion consider the link bandwidth as 10MB or 20MB (as link is in full duplex mode).
You want it to be directional (IN/OUT). Total makes no sense for utilization in my eyes.
Is WAN service provider calculate the bandwidth in same way(IN/OUT)?
just to more clarify my question. if my link is of 4 MB then service provider will calculate bandwidth 4mb Inward and 4MB Outward or 2mb Inward or 2mb Outward
My understanding is and the way Orion works is that if a connection is 1gig that will be 1gig in and 1gig out so overall 2gig full duplex.
Jon's description is correct but it is called a 1 gig full duplex. A 2 gig full duplex is 2 gigs both directions.
