How do I add a custom property to an alert?

I have a question, once I have created my custom properties, how do I get it to report this custom property in my e-mail alerts. ie. im trying to get the circuit ID of my serial interfaces to be sent along with the ip info and note status. I have the IP and note status already being sent in the e-mails but now that I have built this custom property how can I get that in the e-mails also??

You would simply reference the custom property as a variable. If your custom property is CircuitID, then you would reference it as ${CircuitID} within the alert.

Thank you for your quick response. I am very new to this software so please excuse my dumb questions. So I have added ${CircuitID} to my trigger actions e-mail and in the e-mail that is received it only shows the name not the value. I have put the circuit ID info into the database under the header CircuitID, under the main Serial0 interface. Is there some other place I should be entering this data? I believe it is in the correct place but I must be missing something.Script to be sent via e-mailAlert: ${NodeName} is ${Status}
IP: ${IP_Address}

The alert appears to be a node status alert. Only custom properties assigned to the node can be used in the Node alerts. You should be able to view the Circuit ID value using the ${CircuitID} variable for Interface specific alerts.

You were right. Thanks so much for your help. I have one more question thou, now that I have the e-mail alerts working properly, is there a way to get these fields to also show up on the website under each individual node? I have tried to look threw the documentation but I find that it is very cryptic and hard to understand.
