How to assign Interfaces using Custom MIB Poller
FormerMember
I Wish to provide a view of the Online status of some AP's on a network map view
The AP's are thin Symbol AP 300's they are not IP addressable, however their online status can be retrieved via SNMP from there perent controller ( a Symbol WS5000 wireless switch )
Thus I am trying to use a Custom MIB poller to retrive the status of the AP from the controller ap in turn,
To get the status of the first five AP's being controlled by the controller I have setup the following Custom Pollers
.1.3.6.1.4.1.388.6.2.10.1
.1.3.6.1.4.1.388.6.2.10.2
.1.3.6.1.4.1.388.6.2.10.3
.1.3.6.1.4.1.388.6.2.10.4
.1.3.6.1.4.1.388.6.2.10.5
Each of which return the status as an enumerated type (0 = Offline, 1=Online, 2 = Not Transmitting, 3 = Alert)
Thus each Custom MIB Poller provides interface status for one of the five AP's
My problem is I cannot see a way to add a Icon (i.e. a Green one for Online red for all other status values) to the network view (representing the position the AP is located) with its status derived from these Custom MIB Poller results, as as far as I can see there is no way to create an 'Interface' from this source.
Does anybody have any clue how to do this?
