Access control with System Manager

I currently use System Manager on my primary poller. When I attempt to connect via another machine I get an error "Cannot connect to xxxxx Permission denied. Be sure the server xxxx has full access rights to the client".

I would like to install System Manager on several technical staff's machines. Where do I configure access control to allow other machines connect with System Manager?

You can't, system manager will only work from either the main poller or a remote poller.

I also have the same problem going from with going from the main poller to my newly installed second poller?

I can't remember the exact reason, but something Microsoft did keeps System Manager from connecting to a remote server. The only way to run System Manager is to log into the server and run it locally.

What do you want to do with System Manager? Is it not possible with the web console? ARe you on v9.x?

i get this same problem trying to connect to my 2 new pollers from system manager on the primary poller. i get the error, i click OK, and then i get into the system manager.

i go to add a node, and it appears to add, but it does not appear in tree to the left. i need system manager to use the custom properties and to add nodes and list resources in a quick way, as the website is not up to scratch yet...
