On one of my Linux devices I am not getting any CPU or Memory gauges, what could possibly cause this?
Thanks in advance for any help!
If that device does not respond or support the OID we poll to gather that information, we will not show those gauges. You can create a UnDP to gather that info and assign to that device
Which OID(s) do you poll to get that information?
I have several other boxes that are supposedly configured exactly the same and they are working just fine. I would like to go manually verify if the OID(s) are working or not.
I have added a buch more Linux systems to Orion and many of them seem to have this problem.
Please let me know exactly what I need to look for on nodes for this to work; OID(s), net-snmp version, etc. and I will see what I can find.
Thanks!
I believe these are the OID's for Linux boxes we poll
I was just able to verify that all of those OID's are responding with values on one of the devices where these gauges are not appearing.
Thoughts?
I suppose I should also note that I am getting other SNMP data from that node so I know SNMP is working in that regard.
Well, I may have solved this problem. It seems that under the resources option on several of these nodes the CPU & Memory option was not selected for some reason. I will have to go through and verify this on all of these nodes but I think this may be the culprit. Not sure how this didn't get selected on some but did on others when they were added in bulk, will investigate that later.
Thanks for all of this information you have provided! You SW guys are great!
