We have replaced our two aging Catalyst 4506 with Sup V and IOS 12.3 to Catalyst 4506-E with Sup 7L-E and IOS 15.1.
The configuration with interfaces, VLANs and routing is identical to the old ones. Everything runs as expected.
In NPM 10.2.2 we have up to the swap been able to trend traffic volumes over the VLAN interfaces on these switches, they are still visible on the new hardware but I only see trickles of data as if only traffic generated by the swithces themselves is monitored and not the endless gigabytes of stuff going to/from the servers sitting on these vlans..
Data is captured using snmp, not netflow at all.
Has anyone else seen this and have a clue for me? Is it something that needs enabling on the catalysts that have been default earlier or is it an issue with NPM?
