How to Alert only for a Layer 2 Interface?

How do we leverage node NPM Network Topology to enable alerts for Layer 2 Interface connection going down instead of interfaces going down. At present with the conditions that i have for alerting. alerts for a node going down and then the interfaces connected to the node also going down. (I know this can be achieved using dependency mapping).

I am trying to figure out a way to use the NPM Network Topology to alert for Layer2 interfaces going down.
