website timeout

Hello,

I am having issues with Orion website timing out when I try to login. I get the following error:

System.Web.HttpException: Request timed out.

And sometimes another line that is too long to paste on to this, but I can make available if necessary

I opened a support ticket and I did what the guy told me but I am still getting the same problem.

If
you go to C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion> an look for SWNetPerfMon.DB.
Open it (you might need to use word to open it) then scroll down to the bottom
an edit the following:

                 Connection
timeout in seconds

                Timeout==20

                 Database
Command timeout in seconds

                CommandTimeout=90

                

                Change
the 20 to 30 change the 90 to 110.

Can anyone help?

PS 8.5.0 with all the patches.

We have seen issues where the Nodes Resources on the Summary page are timing out. Can you try removing this resource from the Summary Page to see if the timeout remains?

I would call into support or re-open the ticket you had to troubleshoot further. I do not see that resource listed on your screen shot and I was hoping it would be an easy fix,also check the IIS properties Connection Timeout setting.

I'm seeing sort of the same issue when I'm in the Admin screen and I click on Database details. It thinks about it for a bit then errors out :

System.Web.HttpException: Request timed out.

support suggested I move the database to another server, but it really has not grown much. This only started happening after the 8.5 upgrade.

That setting for IIS is 120 seconds as well.

I just started getting this message too. (I am running 8.5.1 SP2)
