CPU Utilization Alerts on Dual Core

Ive got a question about how Orion monitors dual core machines... actually quad core also.

Is it averaging the total CPU usage? We only see 1 gauge in Orion but task manager can have up to 8 if its a dual quad box.

Could someone explain how orion is monitoring these?

Orion reports the average of all of the CPUs. So on a quad core box with one CPU pegged, one at 60% and two idling, Orion's CPU gauge would show 40%.

Is there any plans to add "core" reporting for CPUs? Would be nice to see each core

If you have a look in the content exchange under custom poller there's one in there that will dispaly actual cup utilisation for each core.
