Questions about SWDIscovery.cfg

I am running Orion NPM v10.2.1. Upon conducting a search on my Win 2008 server I found two copies of SWDiscovery.cfg:

1- C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds (most recent date)

2- C::\Program Files (x86)\Solarwinds\Orion

Two questions please. (1) Is the one in the ProgramData folder the one that is currently in use with the other one being a remnant of a previous version? (2) Is SWDiscovery the file that Orion uses to recognize Vendors and Machine Types (meaning that if a SysObjectID is not in this file, SNMP will show the node Vendor and Machine Type as "unknown")?

The Program Data files typically are log files. They get pulled during diagnostics and are used for troubleshooting.

So the date that it shows is that last time it was updated.

The one in your install directory(C:\Program Files (x86)\Solarwinds\Orion) is the one that's currently being used.

And if the SysObjectID is not in that file, you will get the items as "unknown".

Do you have some SysObjectID's you'd like to have added? Add them to this thwack thread, , and we'll get them added for the next release.

Just curious Casey, if the version in the Program Files 9x86) folder is the correct one, where did the one in the ProgramData folder come from and why would it have a more recent date?
