Hyper-V monitoring?

Oddly enough management is considering moving form VMWare vSphere 4 to Microsoft Hyper-V (future cost savings I think). Now I've probably been spoiled by NPM over the last 2 years, which it monitoring all my Cisco Equipment and my ESX hosts.. does Orion NPM also monitor Microsoft Hyper hosts and guests like it does VMWare?

While Searching the forum, I see I need APM because it uses WMI instead of SNMP? Does this still hold true?

No, Orion does not monitor Hyper-V in the same way that it does VMWare and I am guessing that will be even more true once the next versions of NPM and APM are released. However, you are still able to do a good job of monitoring both the hosts and guests in a Hyper-V environment.
