How do I install JUST hot fix 6?

I want to apply hot fix 6 to my server but the only options are to upgrade what it looks like. I am having enough problems with Solarwinds right now. I would call Solarwinds support but have had a high priority ticket open for a full day and no contact.

And then it will upgrade this as well - all i want is the HOT FIX. Any suggetions aLTeReGo? Solarwinds has become wildly unstable the past few days and support won't help.

What you are seeing is correct. In order to upgrade to Orion Platform 2018.2 HotFix 6, you must also upgrade NCM, SAM, and VMAN to be compatible.

LOL so will that magically fix the outstanding support cases? Or will more issues when I completely hose my system? It only took your support group 24 hours for someone to actually pick up my high priority ticket and will take probably another day to get someone to say something absolutely stupid for me to try. This song and dance is getting really really really old aLTeReGo

Without knowing the exact cause of the issues it's difficult to say for certain, but since several of your reported issues pertain specifically to those components which have upgrades available to address numerous issues, it would be the first step I would take in my troubleshooting process.

And when I do the update and it makes things worse where do I go from there? I have a vacation coming up and my work around to keep Solarwinds up and running - scheduling nightly reboots of the app server so I know it will remain up. Maybe solarwinds should work on their existing products and understanding on how to support them before you toss more things to hose things up in the mix. I have been way to nice for way to long to just get 'oh it will get better' and guess what IT HAS NOT aLTeReGo
