We have a number of switches here, some have been added into Solarwinds using SNMPv3. However there are a number of switches which are failing when we use SNMPv3.
We can see on a successful switch that the packet in Wireshark under SNMP the msgUserName: field is populated and sends the correct data to the switch. However on some switches, the msgUserName is blank, even though we have filled out all of the fields on the Web Interface. Please see the attached image.
We have tried to run the SnmpWalk.exe tool and this returns no OID information. We have looked at the Wireshark Capture again and this still shows no msgUserName being submitted to the switch.
The switches are the same with the same level of firmware on them. The only difference is the SNMP Engine ID on each switch.
Does anyone have any ideas at all ?
