Server Advice?

I've got two servers (info below) and I'm curious as to how best to utilize them for Cirrus and Orion.

Server-A: 2 CPU P-III 0.9 Ghz with 4 GB RAM
- Currently running Cirrus
Server-B: 4 CPU P 4 3.2 Ghz with 3 GB RAM
- Currently running Orion & MS SQL Server 2000

I'd like to get Cirrus and Orion on the same box.
Orion is presently mind-numblingly slow. Page loads are often 60 seconds.

Would Orion & Cirrus be okay on Server-A with the DB on Server-B or would I be better with everything on Server-B?

Note: I'm going to address the slowness separately but if you've got any idea I'll take them.

I'm curious about the slowness. Which version of Orion are you running?

We're using 8.1. I was going to upgrade to 8.5 (now 8.5.1) there seem to be issues so I'm holding off for a week or two.

Several weeks ago it was being slow and I did some disk cleaning as I noticed the C: drive was nearly full. I also defragged everything and it seemed to be pretty quick for a day or two and then went back to being slow.

I think the best performance enhancer is to move the SQL server to its own dedicated box. SQL can be a hog and can suck up alot of resources.

I have to agree with Bryan. In your case, I would move SQL to the faster server and run Orion and Cirrus together on one server.
