Vendor MIB - entry in SolarWind MIB DB

Hello All,

Running here on version 8.1. I recently have the need to add custom MIB pollers for a Mitsubishi UPS Netcom SNMP device. I did some forum and KB searches but didn't turn up a definitive answer on how to add manufacturer MIBs with no OID into Orion 8.1. The MIBs I got from Mitsubishi in a .MIB file look like this:

  upsAlarmShutdownImminent OBJECT-TYPE
      SYNTAX INTEGER
      ACCESS read-only
      STATUS mandatory
       DESCRIPTION
               "The UPS will turn off power to the load in less than
                5 seconds; this may be either a timed shutdown or a
                low battery shutdown."
      ::= { upsWellKnownAlarms 23 }

 As you can see there is no OID to add in directly. Should I submit these to Solarwinds, or are they incompatible?

 Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

I had the same issue and their tech support informed me that you can still use custom polling information even if the mib is not present in their database.  All you need is the OID.  What you can't do is browse it via their tool.  Hope that makes sense.
