Can I install v10 trial on a server running old version and revert if trial ends?

I am worried if I try to get v10 purchased but cannot by the time the trial runs out I won't get my old version back.

The only way to revert back is backup your DB before upgrade and after uninstall/reinstall and point at the saved DB. You cannot upgrade directly from 8 to 10 you need to go through an intermediary upgrade step version wise

Well, the reason I ask is that I want to use the data from old Orion and use it in new V10 eval.

if I have to go back to old data I am hoping there is no problem.

ok so V8 to V10 fails, I guess I can't install it stand alone then.
