Advanced Alert Manager and custom poller

Hello,

I don't know how to fix my problem :

We have a custom poller for juniper ive.

I created a alert with the following :

Condition :

MIB is equal to JUNIPER-IVE-MIB:clusterConcurrentUsers

Numeric status is greater than 50

In the action, i want to send a mail with the clusterConcurrentUsers currently connected on.

I use this in the mail :

MIB : ${CustomPollers.MIB}
Status : ${CustomPollerStatus.Status}

And here is what i get :

MIB : JUNIPER-IVE-MIB:iveCpuUtil

Status : 4

Wich is the next poller in fact.

I think it's related to the "get next" in the poller, but i don't know how to sort out this problem.

Any clue will be appreciated

I don't know what you are monitoring, but it looks like you are interested in how many concurrent users you have in the IVE. We have this alert configured for our IVE, and we get a mail when the number of concurrent users exceed 45:

That's exactly what i'm looking for.

I find a way to get the current connected users in the mail alert body with a sql query.

did you do that as well ?

The alert test built into the advanced alerts plugs odd values into some of the variables - its only real purpose to test triggers, not the actual values you'll get when it fires. Try setting the threshold low to trigger it naturally and see if the values are more what you expect.
