Hi all,
I'm having a bit of an issue with NPM 9.5 SP5 and how it handles Sounds played in response to alerts.
We have multiple staff in different area's of the building accessing NPM for various purposes, which means there are often multiple users logged into the Web Interface. We also have a dedicated machine in our main operations office which displays the web interface to allow easier monitoring.
My understanding is that the Default behaviour of NPM is to play the sound for an alert once on the first workstation Which encounters the alert. This is causing us a slight issue, as the monitor workstation isn't always the first machine to encounter the alert, it then doesn't make a noise to alert us to the fact something is wrong.
Is there a way I can modify this behaviour so that the account used for the monitor station always plays the sound, regardless of who sees it first?
I've tried setting up the accounts used so that only the monitor account has sounds enabled, but this doesnt always seem to work.
Has anyone else done something similar successfully?
Regards,
Paul
