juniper Netscreen SSL VPN 4500

Question

I have been trying to add the Juniper Netscreen SSL VPN applicance into solarwinds so we can monitor it but i can't add it as even a basic snmp node. We have checked and double checked the configuration on both the polling server and the applicance and all of the setting seem to match. we have also rebooted the device after adding the SNMP settings and it will not add into solarwinds. Any help would be greatly appretiated.

I have run into similar issues with trying to use my normal complex community string with Cisco 3750 switches... my string works will all my other devices.  The screwed up thing is that the 3750 takes the string without any issue into it's config but when polled by NPM... it doesn't work.  After shortening the string and cutting of some of the special characters it automagically started working... go figure :P

Same problem with me. If I use a string with no special characters, it works. Is it a problem with solawind tool compatibility with Juniper SSL box or a problem of Juniper box itself

Also make sure you are polling the inside interface.  I don't believe you can poll the outside interface through SNMP, as I ran into this issue when first adding our SA to Orion.
