Error with Custom Query

I get this error message using Custom Query on NCM 7.5:

"Error: A query to the SolarWinds Information Service failed"

This is what I have configured for the Custom Query:

"Vendor = 'GTE' AND Status<>2 AND Node.LastBoot"

Is the way I have it configured causing the issue? My goal is to filter it by the "GTE" vendor which are currently down and showing the last time it was booted.

Is this a custom query object in a view or a filter statement within a pre-existing view object?

That is going to affect your syntax greatly.

Your problem is with the last part of your statement:

Vendor = 'GTE' AND Status<>2 AND Node.LastBoot

There is no comparative syntax following 'Node.LastBoot '. If You remove the syntax in red above, or finish the comparative statement, it should filter correctly. Please note, you can not add a column of data to a pre-existing view object through a filter statement.

- If you're using a custom query object -

In the instance you're missing some very important code. It will need to look something like:

Select Caption, Vendor, Status, LastBoot

From Nodes

Where Vendor = 'GTE' AND Status<>2

I'm not sure. Under NCM 7.5 it's found under reports. Trying to make a custom report using the custom query option.

Can you send a screenshot of what you were trying to setup or configure?

Select NodeID, Caption, IP_Address, Vendor, Status, LastBoot from Nodes

where

Vendor = 'GTE' AND

Status = '2' //2 is equivalent to down, 1 is up but if you also need the unknown status, try to change this into Status NOT LIKE '1'

and please try to restart your orion services as it seems to me that your information service is already high in terms of memory consumption. if you're doing query via soalrwinds report
