Database Schema/Custom Properties

I am writing a custom resource (I beleive that is the correct term) and I need to query the database for a group of nodes based on a custom property.

After perusing the database using Enterprise Manager, I don't see how custom properties are stored.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!
