SQL Open Error

Hi,

I migrated Orion to a new machine.

In Network Overview, double click on nodes, I got the following message:

SQL Open Error: Cannot resolve collation conflict for UNION operation.SQL Open Error: Cannot resolve collation conflict for UNION operation

What this mean?

Have you managed to find a solution to this problem? I've upgraded from 8.1.3 to 8.5.1 SP3 and now find i have ths problem.

This was addressed in an earlier hotfix. See the attached file. Be sure and Backup the database before applying this fix. The readme will explain the details.

I've tried to run this but it comes back with the error:

An exception occurred while attempting to fix th
'NodeHasChangedAlert' is not a constraint.
Could not drop constraint. See previous errors.

Any ideas?

Since it didn't work it would be best if you open a ticket and submit some diagnostics. The Diagnostics Utility can be found in C:\Program Files\Solarwinds\Orion\SolarwindsDiagnostics.exe [assuming a default install path] and can shed more light on what is occurring.
