Error creating database V10

a new fresh install THe configwizard errors out with Error creating database and it tells me to check the configwizard.log the file doesnt appear to exist. This is a fresh install win2003 and sql2005 any suggestions would be appreciated

Hi Ken

You need to get your SQL connection issus sorted out before installing the Orion or whatever application

Ken,

The first thing I think of is to check your SQL credentials. Are the SQL crendentials you are using 'sa' for the username. The credentials need to have rights on the SQL server to not only read and query the database but also create. If you have the login account information for the 'sa' account, this is easiest.

If you know that you are using a valid account with the correct permissions, you may need to run C:\Program Files (x86)\Solarwinds\Orion\SolarwindsDiagnostics.exe from the installation directory for Orion. The logs you are after will be located inside the .zip file in the \SolarwindsDiagnostics.zip\LogFiles\Orion folder and if you need help reading through them, the SolarWinds Tech Support team can help with that.
