Ok, these APC ups and the corresponding UDPs are making me crazy. In an effort to educate myself on snmp & UDP, I gathered-up a ups, plugged it in via a power strip and started testing. According to UDP, I want to poll 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.3.2.1 input voltage. I built my own and I can see voltage drop then I flip the switch on the power strip when I use the UDP test. Plugging it into node details, it reads the right voltage. But is very unresponsive…I’ve timed it 5 minutes after the UPS in on battery and it still reads 115v. The corresponding alert works occasionally and to top it off, the SMNP trap screen is showing different, older OIDs (1.3.6.1.4.1.318.5) that UDP testing says are not supported. Where did I go wrong?
From trap screen:
snmpTrapEnterprise = PowerNet-MIB:apc
experimental.1057.1 = 172.30.4.254
mtrapargsString = UPS: On battery power in response to an input power problem.
snmpTrapOID = PowerNet-MIB:apc.0.5
sysUpTime = 26 days 22 hours 30 minutes 20.50 seconds
