Recomendations

I'm running v 8.0.2 and I have several schools where we have the power shut down for some construction. I am trying to make it so that Orion do not report them as down, I guess I'm asking what is the best way to get them off the main screen so that real or unknown down nodes do not get lost in the know nodes that are down.

I really hope this makes since..

In the Orion system manager right click on the node/s that are down for the construction period and select "Node Details".

On the "Node Details" page click "UnManage".

In the "UnManage" device screen enter the date and time of when you would like this device to become managed again.

That should do it.

The only thing I don't like about "UNMANAGE" is that they show up as "Unknown" or "No Response" on the Problem Page. Is there any way to make them disapear until they are moved back into production?

Edit the Nodes with Problems view and add this filter:

UnManaged<>1

If you are logged in as an admin there should be a link to edit the section ; the middle button will be the one.

Check the 'Filter Nodes' section.

I created a section to hold my 'Unmanaged' nodes.

Filter "unmanaged = 1"
