Monitoring connected users
Cruzu2001
Hello everybody
I was wondering if there is a way to monitor users connected to an access server or router (through dialup or ADSL, for example)?
This includes showing the username, ip address assigned and traffic statistics.
Thanks

Hello Cruz
Look at this post:

Using a RADIUS server along with a log analysis program is the way to go.
Be fantastic.

I am currently looking at some way to send the user login timestamps from our dial-in router via AAA acounting logging to our syslog server - it is do-able for VOIP CDR's:
www.cisco.com/.../cdr_logging.html
Since all I'm after are timestamps, this might work for PPP connections. I'll let you know how it goes.
For those wanting to learn more on this subject, here is a good book - RTM!
