How to monitor ip accounting using NMS

Hello

Whenever i want to monitor ip wise traffic at a particular interface of a router(node) I simply configure ip accounting at that interface of the router and execute show ip accounting command in that router. This is very simple and fast method to monitor ip wise traffic at any interface of the router. Since we have Orion NPM to monitor all of our nodes at all locations how can I configure NMS to show me ip addess wise traffic at any particular interface of the router(node). One possible option is to use Cisco Netflow Commands in the router and use NTA feature of NPM but the problem is that router CPU utilization becomes very high due to these commands and NPM (or NTA summary inside NETFLOW) takes around 10 minutes to show the results. What is the other way to simulate ip accounting inside NMS. Kindly help me out.

Kindly suggest some solutions.

Hi Ronit,

 

The following UNDP poller will display the simple information show ip accounting displays.  Netflow Traffic Analyzer is a much better solution but i am sure this will help in the interim

 

 

This poller will only give you a current snapshot of ip accounting information.
