Getting number of user from Foundry
Oct_7
Hi,
I have a client who needs to know how many user connected to their foundry load balancer (ServerIron XL SW ver.7.3.07dT12). Anyone has done it before from Orion? I do not know whether it has OID for it, what I know is that you can use telnet to get the number. Any idea how to capture the number from telnet and show it in Orion?
Thank you very much,
Best regards,

Not sure but I think you need to change one OID of the server MIB customizing it, so if you are under unix any query to that OID shuld map and execute "ps aux|grep "telnet_shell or someting like this"|wc -l". Don't know if it work but is just an idea. You can also see if Application or Service monitor can do it. Hope this Help

You require a Custom MIB for this, which Orion does not currently support.
We use PRTG to pull this info from our load balancers to graph this info.
You might also be able to pull this data using the Solarwinds EE Custom Mib grapher.
It has an option to publish the graph to a web page, which could be on your Orion server.
