Discovered Linux devices showing vendor as net-snmp

I have a number of discovered Linux devices that are showing their 'Vendor' attribute as "net-snmp - Linux" instead of just "Linux", as expected. An example description from one device (which looks like it was populated by SNMP) says "Linux <SERVERNAME> 4.4.0-171-g​eneric #200-Ubunt​u SMP Tue Dec 3 11:04:55 UTC 2019 x86_64". Any idea why this is happening?

Mine have always said net-snmp (by itself) in earlier versions, though I don't have any Ubuntu.

I think the Vendor name and icon chosen are based on the SysObjectID. Each build of NPM has a new set of MIBs.

We have some net-snmp servers from Cisco. I have to look at the Node Details to see which flavor of *nix they are. So maybe net-snmp - Linux is an improvement?
