I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with performing a partial database restore from a backup.
When upgrading from 9.5 to 10.1.2 the retention settings were reverted to the Orion default of 7/30/60 and we lost our years worth of data. I'm embarrased to say how long it took to notice the data was missing, but we have enough new data that we don't want to revert the entire database to the pre-upgrade backup.
I've been told by some that it's a risky move, heard of others having success, and wanted to know if anyone else has tried it.
