Issues with BusinessLayerHost and high CPU utilization

I have just deployed a new SolarWinds instance and I am having performance issues, specifically high CPU utilization. All software is the latest release. The system is built on a VM with 16 virtual processors (Intel Xeon E5-2697 @2.70GHz). This serves as the main Orion server and has 2 APE's installed for a total of 3. I also have a remote polling engine server with two pollers installed. I have 6000 nodes split evenly between them. We are experiencing a constant 65-85% CPU utilization and the UI is very slow. The SolarWInds.BusinessLayerHost is consistently the top consumer of CPU at an avg of 50%. I have opened a support ticket and they have already taken a look. At the time there were only 8 cores installed. The recommendation was to add 8 more cores and another polling engine to the Orion server. I did this. With a 5-min polling interval the polling engines are at 60% and 52% of their maximum rate so I dont suspect polling to be the issue. Has anyone else noticed this? I am almost desperate at this point to get to the bottom of this high-utilization situation. Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Is there any response to this? I have loaded a new instance of NPM 12.2 on several servers, and continue to get this high CPU usage, as well as when I do try to open a NPM Console I get a "Not listening on Port 17777" I did not have this issue when I tried to install 12.1, But I still got the "Not listening on Port 17777" error. This happens on a new server 2016 install, I have tried it on a bare bones server, Vmware and Hyper-V. We are trying to upgrade from server 2008 to 2016, along with moving from 12.1 to 12.2 NPM. I am glad we did some testing first. I am assuming that since this post way over a year old, and I cannot find anything else, I will be forced to call support, and waste more time. I never have any luck with support, most of the time they blame it my network or systems, and I have to figure it out myself either way. Any help on this would be appreciated.
