Network Atlas NPM v9.5.1

Hi all,

 

We recently upgraded to NPM v9.5.1; I am interested in utilizing the "Linked Background" feature of Network Atlas on our Hot Standby.

Currently it is working flawless on our primary polling engine however when i try to "Validate"any URL on the Hot Standby I receive the

following error. Error - "No Image Could Be Found At The Specified Location"

Hello,

Linked Background may not be loaded from the following reasons:

1)      The URI is not valid or there is no connection possible the the URI.

2)      There is no valid bitmap at the specified URI

3)      The selected bitmap is so big that its download takes a long time and therefore it is not possible to display the map

Troubleshooting:

1)      Check whether the specified URI returns valid image in different browsers. If failed, use valid image, check your connection.

2)      Use the specified URI and validate it in NA.  If failed, check proxy settings, firewall settings.( NA gets proxy settings from MSIE).

3)                             Save the map and display it on the web. If failed, make sure the web server can connect to the specified URI – check connection settings, firewall settings, proxy.

 

Proxy with authentication:

Network Atlas currently cannot download file through a proxy with authentication. Use steps mentioned on one of the following pages:

Periodically download a picture to a selected path on the web server. Use Network Atlas on the server to set the Linked Background to the absolute path to the downloaded file. Make sure the IIS process has sufficient rights to access the file for reading.
