New Atlas map icons

I have a world map, with all the sites as a small LED.  Each detail map used to show all the attached nodes, as detail lines prefaced by small LEDs.  Now, I get the background art above, so I went ahead and created a state map as the background.  Here is my issue:  I would like to see a single LED on the background picture, for the whole site (just like what is on the world map), then the detail listing below should have the node specific icons.  See my attachment.  It clutters the map by having multiple large icons all over it, while the detail listing has the bland old LED.

Any ideas how to switch this around?

I am not 100% sure what you need to achieve, but 2 things spring to mind:

 

1. In Network Atlas, add the resource (Node, Interface or whatever) to the map and set the size of the icon to 1 x 1. This will make it invisible on the map display, but still cause it to be included in the list.
   
2. Outside of the inbuilt map hierachy, you can create pages with a Map resource and Map Text Listing (not got NPM in front of me to check the exact name) from the Maps resource section of the page view customisation.
   
   This would allow you to specify a different map and text listing for the page.
