We have started using our licensed version of NPM on the same server that hosted our evaluation and now I cannot open the System Manager, seemingly because of version conflicts. How can get them on the same "compatibility" level?
I had the exact same problem last week. Below is what support told me to do.
Thank you for contacting SolarWinds. To resolve this, first stop all SolarWinds services. When stopped go to Start > Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features and open the Monitor Polling Engines tool. When this opens, go to Server > Poller Load Balancing. When this screen loads, click on the first node, then scroll down, hold shift and click on the last node. Then go to Polling Engines > Move selected Nodes to .... and choose the poller, even if it is the same one. Click Done. Close out the tool, restart the services and open the System Manager.
Please contact support about this issue. I know that they have seen it before.
So when you "upgraded" to the licensed version, how did you apply that?
I uninstalled the previous NPM software through "Add/Remove Programs" and reinstalled the paid version through a link I was sent from SW.
