Hi,
I read with anticipation the following new feature:-
"Unmanage Interfaces – today you can un-managed nodes, now you can also un-manage specific interfaces on a node "
I've tried this, and it doesn't seem to work - any ideas?
Thanks
How did you try doing this? If you go to web node management in the web console and select one or more interfaces, you should be able to select unmanage now in 9.5
Hi, sorry for the delay in responding!
I have attempted to unmanage the interfaces both from the "interface view" page (where unmanage appears in the Interface Details element) and also by searching through the nodes in "Manage Nodes", expanding the interfaces and select unmanage there.
I thought I would check if I could still perform the same function on the nodes, and indeed If I unmanage a node, the Icon changes to the white cross straight away.
However, I then noticed that I cannot remanage - nodes....either that or there is a significant delay in the nodes refreshing...
On the remanage node, we do have an open defect there, workaround is you should be able to remanage the node from the node details page. I will look into the interfaces and see if there is a defect there as well.
hmmm. The remanage node on the node details page doesn't remanage either!
To confirm:
I cannot unmanage a managed interface - from interface details or node management.
I cannot manage an unmanaged node - from node details or node management.
I can however, unmanage a managed node from either node details or node management.
Having tested this today, I now have 4 nodes that I need to remanage!!!
Cheers
I'm experiencing this bug with APM 3.0 as well.
unmanaging from the APM console works fine. Remanaging does NOT work. What's the workaround for APM?
is Solarwinds Development aware of this? Do I need to open a support case?
Please do open a case on this.
Thanks - Andy
There's an UnManaged column in the interfaces table too.
