Just upgraded to 10.1 and having issues with alerts/polling

Just finished the Orion 10.1 upgrade and noticing some significant issues in general.

1.) I've had a server down for about 20 minutes and it still shows as up in IVIM and the NPM homepage.  When I power it back on it still shows up on the previous host in IVIM and didn't even get a reboot or down message from the server.

2.) Has been showing high response time on the same nodes for about the past 30 minutes.  A ping from polling engine returns with low response time.

It's almost like the system is stuck at a certain point in time.  I have applied all the hotfixes that were available.

Opened up a ticket but have not gotten a reply back.  Right now I cannot manage my environment.

Noticed that no one picks up phones at customer/technical support either, they are always busy or unavailable.

the new version is 20% to 30% more CPU and RAM intensive...  if you were already running high on your boxes, I would suggest you have a house cleaning exercise in the mean time to try and get it polling.

 

have you been into the polls-per-second tuning after the baseline completed post-upgrade to make sure it has not gone mad?

 

Might be worth you modifying the polling interval on certain elements, like volumes etc....  (reduce to 20/60 mins. etc for polling and stats collection)

Also, a good reboot of all servers that make up your orion environment would not go amiss...
