Custom Property Editor

I am running Orion 7.2.2

I deleted 2 node Custom Property tables/columns which I had made some time ago.
However, when I created a new node table(heading/column) it did not appear asnywhere.
I checked in the database (using database manager) for the new entry, but it was not there.

There was no error message and everything seemed to work, but the new database node
custom property refuses to "take". I can add or remove individual entries in a column,
and even remove whole columns, but cannot create a new one.

Has anyone else seen this?

I know this is a very old post, but this is occuring right now for me, in the most current beta.

Hi Chapter 30-1,

I'd forgotten about this issue & don't recall the root cause.
In any case I seem to recall this was just a temporary glitch.

After closing CPE & logging off my RDP session, the next time I logged in it was working.
I've found that when the SQL DB gets busy, CPE is not always responsive, especially when copying or pasting data. Sometimes it takes a few seconds for the info to show up in the fields.

I have tried all the basic stuff. Restart services, bounce the server, etc. Problem still exists. If I create a new custom property I can fill it in one time it seems. After that even replacing the data, or adding data to another device (same custom property) fails.

Very odd. I have a conference call with a developer today and will bring this to their attention.

Have you tried running the configure/install script again? I believe it checks the database schema and might correct the issue for you.
